BLUMENWAGEN
+ LITTLE BLUME
Environmental Identity
It all started with the van. A beautiful 1978 Mercedes T2 608d van that spent many dutiful years fighting fires in Seefeld, Austria, traveled to Vatican City to be blessed by the Pope and finally journeyed across the pond to be converted into a camper van. Its next chapter in life was to be a flower truck – The Blumenwagen.
And then it got a sibling – a Daihatsu Hijet Climber who became the farm workhorse and an additional pop-up flower truck.

Developed sibling identities that share cohesive similarities while maintaining their personalities unique to each distinct vehicle - a big, red van with original hand-painted German type and a tiny Japanese microvan with a custom green canvas topper.
Key features of the two brands:
Matched the original German typeface for consistent use on both trucks
Balanced the bright red of the big truck with a simple design
Subtly showcased real flowers grown on the farm through custom illustration
Achieved color harmony between the red truck and the white truck with a hunter-green canvas topper
Created hang tags and business cards for the red Blumenwagen truck to complement the brand identity

The distinctive look of the Blumenwagen and Little Blume trucks have become iconic in Chattanooga, TN, and Atlanta, GA, drawing countless residents to buy flowers at pop-up events and share their experiences on social media.
The easily recognizable, beautifully branded trucks serve as mobile marketing tools, generating word-of-mouth buzz and creating a unique, memorable customer experience.
The cohesive branding across both vehicles has helped establish a strong, recognizable presence in the local flower market fostering a loyal customer base and has kept business booming.
When designing a logo for our flower truck, Blumenwagen, we knew we had to have professional help. We chose Taylor because we trusted her and her vision. She handled it so well, that we hired her for our second flower truck, Little Blume. Our business has grown rapidly and I know that having professional and cohesive branding has been a big part of our growth.
